1) I
Excellent Article. It is ironic, but
until the Indian "Peace" Keeping Forces (IPKF) turned against us Tamils, we always believed
that India was our savior. If not for our visionary leader, Prabhaharan, we Tamils
would have fallen into Indian and Sri Lankan traps and decimated.
But there is false perception among Indians that we Eelam Tamils and the
Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) backstabbed mother India who came for our
rescue. I wish all Indians who still believe in this would read this article.
2) Indian Betrayal of Sri Lankan Tamils
I had the occasion to read the article on the Indian Betrayal of Sri Lankan Tamils. Well done. Well researched and very factual.

3) India was never Genuine in Solving the Issue
Your well-written article on the Eelam Tamil issue is applauded. Can you tell me how widespread is your reader distribution?
When talking
to my few Tamil Nadu friends I get the feeling that sympathy toward Eelam
Tamil cause in South India is somewhat divided. It appears that, this may be
due to lack of understanding of the history of the Eelam Tamil struggle. I somewhat agree with you that India was never genuine
in
solving the issue. So was Sri Lanka. The Tamil leadership, the
Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), realized this long ago. LTTE's leadership
is visionary and built on character and determination. The same cannot be said of
Sri Lanka or India. The Eelam Tamils in Sri Lanka and around the world are consensus in their view
that LTTE are the liberators of their aspirations and they are behind LTTE
with their heart and mind. Look forward to the next Part of the article.

4) Eye Opener to Millions of Persons
We congratulate you and the authors on the well-researched articles on Tamil
Eelam. It shows scholarship and a very high level of analytical
journalism of world standard. We congratulate the erudite journalists and
scholars involved in this great exercise. This should be an eye opener to
millions of persons who are either ignorant, do not want see the reality
or pretend that Tamils in Sri Lanka have no case for a struggle for
a separate state.
We sincerely wish Thanjai Nalankilli a speedy recovery and all that's best. We fervently hope that he will return to his desk to continue his good work.

5) India's Selfish Intervention Prolonged the Agony
We are grateful for your timely and informative article regarding the Indian intervention in Sri Lanka. As the article points out, this selfish intervention has prolonged the agony of our Tamil people in Sri Lanka and they are still paying supreme sacrifices.
Many people have forgotten yet another infamous episode played by India. Days before boarding the Indian naval ship to escape to India, the then North-Eastern Province Chief minister Varatharajah Perumal (a puppet who was propped up by the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) by vote rigging) declared Eelam with a farcical flag hoisting ceremony at Trincomalee. It was done at the behest of Indian intelligence agencies and with subtle support from the top in India. Otherwise Perumal would not have even dreamt of such a thing. The ordinary Tamil people were wiser and completely ignored this farce. The important thing is, now the whole episode is covered up conveniently and India is shedding crocodile tears for the unity of Sri Lanka.Rajan Venugopal May 30, 2001
