We received the following 1967 newspaper clipping from Mr. V. Radhakrishnan. Our sincere thanks to Mr. Radhakrishnan.
"To the Tamilian anything Tamil is holy. From the cradle he is nurtured on legends that flaunt the glory of Tamil culture, the greatness of Tamil history, the nobility of Tamil heritage, the virtuousity of the Tamil language. Even in his hours of relaxation at the cinema, he is subjected to the hero's dissertations on the glory of Tamil. (This is just a statement of fact and is not meant to be derogatory.)
To the Tamilian, a cry portending danger to the Tamil language is a war cry, a call to arms, an invocation to his abiding faith in his heritage, ..." - The Current, March 6, 1967, page 18, Column 3.
